Jon Rawlson
Jon Rawlson is the Founder & President of Armory Hill Advocates, LLC, with 25 years of experience in the areas of Public Affairs, Government Relations, and Grassroots Advocacy.
Before starting Armory Hill Advocates, Jon served on government relations teams for two prominent national law firms – Akerman Senterfitt and Baker Hostetler — serving primarily in the areas of transportation policy, national healthcare policy, and tax policy affecting tax exempt organizations on the local, state, and federal level.
Jon joined Akerman Senterfitt after serving as Vice President of Government Affairs for AmerisourceBergen’s long term care subsidiary, PharMerica where he developed and led the company’s federal and state government relations. Jon established PharMerica’s grassroots advocacy network, launched a federal political action committee (PAC), and led coordinated advocacy efforts with industry partners, clients & vendors. Jon was responsible for corporate outreach to national and state Democratic & Republican political parties, national state legislative organizations, non-government organizations, and the Bush Administration.
Jon spent five years with the nation’s leader of home care, Gentiva Health Services, in a variety of business development and government relations roles. Jon began his lobbying career in 1991 with the Florida Medical Association as a Regional Director and lobbyist on issues impacting physicians at the state & federal levels.
In the public sector, Jon served in two federal government positions. During the Administration of George H.W. Bush, he served as Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to the Director of the United States Mint (Treasury Department), and during President Ronald Reagan’s Administration, as Policy Advisor to the Commissioner of Social Security (HHS).
Jon is also a former Chairman of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, one of 11 independent state agencies which oversee land use planning and regional growth management in the six-county area surrounding Orlando. Jon has directed the development of two national trade associations for healthcare: The Long Term Care Pharmacy Alliance (LTCPA), which serves the nation’s providers of institutional pharmacy services, and the Specialty Biopharmaceutical Distribution Association (SBDA), which serves the nation’s distributors of specialty pharmaceutical products. He is also a frequent speaker on the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit.

Jon’s community service includes the Florida Children’s Hospital Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Downtown Orlando YMCA and the Winter Park, FL YMCA, MyRegion.Org and the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council. He is also a past Board Member for the James Madison Institute.
