Jon is a dynamic force in government affairs, serving as a trusted ally for clinicians and healthcare organizations across the care continuum including hospitals, health systems, emerging technologies, pharmacies, outpatient centers including infusion and dermatology, and long termcare facilities including home health and hospice.

As the founder of Armory Hill Advocates, LLC, Jon Rawlson is recognized for a hands-on, solutions – driven approach guiding healthcare organizations through legislative today’s complex legislative challenges and public affairs crises.  With a deep understanding of both the public and private sectors, Jon operates at the intersection of policy and innovation, serving clients in Washington D.C., across the United States, and his home state of Florida.

Leveraging over 30 years of experience in state and federal public policy, government relations, and grassroots advocacy, Jon empowers organizations to have a meaningful voice in shaping public plans. His leadership includes over a decade directing government affairs for industry’sleaders such as PharMerica, AmerisourceBergen’s long-term care division, where he established influential advocacy networks and advanced policies impacting pharmacies nationwide. He also played a pivotal role Gentiva Health Services (now part of CenterWell, a Humana company), supporting the nation’s home care sector.

As a recognized pharmacy policy expert, Jon continues to drive strategic outreach to national and state political parties, legislative organizations, and non-government entities.

Currently, Jon serves as outside counsel for Holland & Knight, offering clients a comprehensive perspective on government relations. His background includes roles at prominent national law firms Akerman Senterfitt and Baker Hostetler.

His experience runs deep in representing privately- and publicly-held organizations with a focus on transportation policy, national healthcare policy, and tax policy for tax exempt organizations on the local, state, and federal level.

Healthcare Leadership

Passionate about advancing healthcare, Jon I has developed and grown two national trade associations to impact policies important to people across the pharmaceutical ecosystem.

  • The Long Term Care Pharmacy Alliance (LTCPA) serves the nation’s providers of institutional pharmacy services.
  • The Specialty Biopharmaceutical Distribution Association (SBDA) serves the nation’s distributors of specialty pharmaceutical products.

He has also contributed to Florida’s emergence as a healthcare hub, including serving as Chairman of the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, one of 11 independent state agencies overseeing land use planning and regional growth management in the six-county area surrounding Orlando.

Jon earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Oral Roberts University and a master’s degree in business administration from Babson College’s Executive Management Program.

Advocacy and Early Career

Jon began his lobbying career in 1991 directing regional government affairs for the Florida Medical Association, one of the country’s largest professional associations for physicians. There, he advocated for issues important to and impacting the association’s 25,000+ members at the state and federal levels.

Federal Service

A dedicated public servant, Jon served as a senior federal government official under two presidential administrations. He was appointed to serve as:

  • Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to the Director of the United States Mint during the George H.W. Bush administration.
  • Policy Advisor to the Commissioner of Social Security at the Department of Health & Human Services during the Ronald Reagan administration.
